Mrs. Albertson's 5th Grade Class

These pictures show one of my favorite things to do with the students. They each have a chance to read some of their writing in front of the class if they choose to do so. They are able to choose a free write, quick write, or other writing assignment they have worked on! They love to share with their peers and it is a good way to see where they are at in their writing without having to read every single paper! :)

We Love to Read

Submitted by amy.jensen on

Several of Mrs. Moody's students have enjoyed being able to share their favorite books with Kindergarten and First Grade classes.  We love reading and being able to share our talents with the other students.  Thank you to the teachers who are making us feel so accomplished!

Calendar Time

Submitted by amy.jensen on
Mrs. Moody is so proud of her class for being able to come in each afternoon and do calendar on their own.  They are so kind and helpful with one another and our Calendar Bear is so great to keep the class engaged.  Yay that they are teaching each other!

Principal Moment

There are certain things that a teacher must never do:  Never pour Plaster of Paris down the sink.  Never stand on a bathroom scale when teaching your students about pounds and ounces.  Never throw a wilted flower away in front of the child who gave it to you no matter how droopy it is.  And never forget to wear green on St. Patrick’s Day.

Riverview Rams Who are Making Their Mark! February Recognition Assembly

Submitted by angela.killian on

Each month Riverview holds a 'Make Your Mark' Assembly.

The purpose of this assembly is to recognize outstanding behaviors, actions, and goals met by our students, faculty and staff.  Embracing challenge and sticking with it are actions that are intentionally taught at Riverview. We encourage Riverview Rams to be inspired by the success of others and 'magpie' ideas to create success for themselves.
