Mrs. Mathis and Mrs. Lacrua's third grade class participated in Red and Green Ribbon Week.  Today was “Don’t let drugs turn you inside out.” Students had so much fun wearing their clothes inside out for the day. We are excited for the themes for the rest of the week!

Tuesday:  “Be a hero, not a zero.”  Dress up like your real life hero or a super hero.

Wednesday:  “Sock it to drugs.”  And “Watch your step.”  Wear crazy or mismatched socks. Walk to School Day – stickers handed out to those students who walk to school.

Thursday:  “Rally in red.”  Wear as much red as possible.

Friday:  “Say BOO! to drugs.”  Wear your Halloween costume.  (No weapons or full face make-up.)

Riverview had their annual PTA Carnival on October 6 and it was a blast! Students threw pies at Riverview faculty! There were many activities to participate in such as bounce houses, fishing pond, mini golfing, bean bag toss, face painting, getting pictures taken, treats, and entering for a carnival basket. Thank you PTA for your dedication, it certainly paid off! Thank you to everyone who participated in the fun!

Our 1st grade friend earned 10 Pirate Pride awards. He gladly traded them in for some pirate booty and spent it on the mustache! He quickly turned into a little old man that couldn't hear, walk, or even talk!

Riverview is happy to announce September's Stand Strong Honorees. Each of the students did a kind act such as saying "thank you" when receiving his lunch, by repeating the stand strong steps, helping someone who was hurt, and by being there for someone who needed help. Great job for Standing Strong!  Keep up the great work!
