Stand Strong Honorees

Submitted by alyssa.mathis on

Riverview is happy to announce October's Stand Strong Honorees. Each of the students did a kind act such as picking up trash, saying "thank you," by repeating the stand strong steps, helping someone who was in need, and by being a good friend. Great job for Standing Strong!  Keep up the great work!

DARE Graduation

Submitted by alyssa.mathis on

Riverview had a fabulous 5th grade DARE graduation. The kids sang a couple songs, 4 students read really good essays on the DARE program and each student was given a certificate. We appreciate Officer Warner for coming each week and helping educate our students on drug safety.

Focus!

Submitted by alyssa.mathis on

Bobby Lawrence Karate visited Riverview third graders.  He taught them about the three ways to focus! Students learned if they focus with their body, mind, and eyes they will learn faster. The students loved practicing the three ways to focus. They had the opportunity to practice some karate and show off some side kick moves they learned. Thank you Bobby Lawrence Karate!

Veterans Visit Riverview

Submitted by alyssa.mathis on

To honor Veteran’s Day, Riverview students had the privilege to meet veterans.  The veterans introduced themselves and presented a patriotic slide show.  Mrs. Nelson led Riverview students in singing a patriotic song. We appreciate the sacrifices veterans have made so we can be free.

Safety First!

Submitted by alyssa.mathis on

Riverview had a fun and entertaining safety assembly. Students were reminded that signs are here to keep us safe and we should know what the signs mean. Students were able to participate in the assembly by showing others how to be safe. Remember to be safe!
