Principal Moment

One of my favorite scenes in Miracle on 34th Street is when attorney John Payne proves that his client, Mr. Kringle, is in fact Santa Claus.  Mail carriers from the United States Postal Service march into the courthouse carrying thousands of children’s letters addressed to Santa.  By delivering these letters to Mr. Kringle, Payne argues that the Post Office-a branch of the federal government-recognizes Kris Kringle to be Santa Claus.  Santa is saved by the Post Office.

DARE Graduation

Submitted by alyssa.mathis on

Riverview had a fabulous 5th grade DARE graduation. The students sang songs, a coupe of students read really good essays on the DARE program, and each student was given a certificate. We appreciate our DARE officer for coming each week and helping educate our students on drug safety.

Riverview Tree

Submitted by alyssa.mathis on

This month, our whole school is making ornaments to put on our Riverview tree.  These third-graders enjoyed painting ornaments as we listed to holiday music-- it was a great kick-off to the holiday-filled month!  We hope everyone in our school (and those visiting) enjoy seeing the tree that shows a bit of all of our students.

6th Grade Orchestra Concert

Submitted by alyssa.mathis on

The 6th grade orchestra performed for Riverview students.  The orchestra performed Three Blind Mice, Are You Sleeping, Mary Had A Little Lamb, Silent Night, We Three Kings, Ode To Joy, and Jolly Old St. Nicolas. Riverview students had a fun time singing along to Jingle Bells.  Thank you 6th grade orchestra for all of your time and hard work.  It was a wonderful concert!
