Celebrating Arbor Day
First grade and third grade classes celebrated Arbor Day at Spanish Trails Boulevard Retention Basin. Students participated in a program by showing their Earth Day artwork, singing, reading a reader’s theater, reading essays about the earth, and planting trees. Students were able to meet Smokey Bear. Smokey Bear reminded students to be careful with fires, never play with matches or lighters, always watch campfires, and always put campfires completely out. Thank you students for a wonderful program!
