Principal Moment

This year on the last day of school, we will try to make it like any other day.  We will talk to kiddos in the hall; we will ask students and teachers what their plans are for summer, we will laugh at a joke that we have already heard twenty times.  Finally, the last bell will ring.  The year will be over.  Just like that.

It will be a bittersweet day because we will be saying good bye to our fifth and sixth grade students as they move to middle school.  It is going to also be especially hard because we are saying goodbye to so many of our treasured Riverview teachers.

Thank you, Mrs. Sharla Thomas, Mrs. Rachel Hanks, Mrs. Anna Lynn Greer, Mrs. Amy Cook, Ms. McCall Chappell, Mrs. Sydney Clark, Mrs. Kirstie Black, Mrs. Christy Nielson, Ms. Kennedy Lopez, Mrs. Katelyn Finch, and Mrs. Heather McDonald.

We are especially sad to announce the retirement of Mrs. Sharla Thomas.  Please join us as we honor and thank Mrs. Thomas for 40 years as a colleague, leader, educator, friend, mentor and best of all, a teacher!  Retirement Open House will be Tuesday, May 25th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.

Thank you for your belief in children and teaching, your support and your friendship.  None of us achieve success in isolation and the successes we’ve achieved have been through cooperation and collaboration.  It’s a pleasure and a privilege to work alongside colleagues who bring out the best in each other.

You have truly “Made Your Mark” at Riverview.  We are going to miss you all.  You’ve been part of our journey.  We will always remember how you made us feel.  You have changed our lives. Thank you, good luck and we love you!

Learning Power Coloring Books

Riverview is proud to announce the coloring book fundraiser.

We have a limited supply of Learning Power Coloring Books created by our very own art teacher, Mrs. Sherratt.  These coloring books feature our school learner powers: Be Determined, Self-Aware, Connect, Think, Reflect, Question and Wonder.

At Riverview we are not afraid to enter the learning pit because we know that our learner power friends are there to help us climb up to success.

Coloring books are being sold for $5.00 each and are available now for purchase with cash or check in the office.

Yearbooks

We still have yearbooks available for $15.00.  Please make checks out to Riverview PTA.
