Principal Moment

This week all grades will celebrate the 100th Day of School.  To celebrate the hundredth day of school, young children all over the country sing songs, shout cheers, read books, count numbers, chant poems, make murals, and string Froot Loops necklaces.  When I was a kid, no one celebrated 100th Day.  Now it is huge.

I wonder who the teacher was who started 100th day.  Did this person have any idea that the cute idea would turn into a national event?  Happy 100th Day of School!

Science Fair

The fair was held on Friday, January 28, 2022.  Many students took the challenge to participate and show us their amazing science projects.  We would like to congratulate the following students who will be moving on to the Nebo School District Science Fair: Emily Hatch, Jeff Higbee, Graham Owen, Declan Smith, Gage James, Kailee Mitchell, Sarah Evans, Olivia Folsom, Melany Araujio, Xavier Grayson, Madison Charlton, and Olivia Ryskamp.

Riverview Fundraiser – February 14 – 18

This year, you can opt out of a traditional fundraiser by making a donation that will 100% DIRECTLY benefit Riverview Elementary School and help us achieve our goal of purchasing headphone replacements, water bottle filling stations and new PE equipment.

Just donate to Riverview Elementary School for what you normally spend at our typical school carnival fundraiser!  And besides that, all of it is TAX DEDUCTIBLE!  Please make checks payable to Riverview Elementary and return to Riverview office.

We encourage all to return the envelopes, regardless of whether there is a donation or not.  The overall class that has the most envelopes returned will earn a pizza party.  The grade level with the most returned envelopes will earn an ice cream party. If we have 75% of the envelopes returned the school will earn a PJ Read-a-Thon Party.

Fundraiser reward day will be Friday, March 11th.

Thank you for supporting Riverview Elementary!

Riverview Arts Day

The arts are an essential part of education our students.  Imagination and creativity take learned skills to a new level.  The arts teach multiple intelligences.

On Friday, February 25th, each grade level will learn about artists and participate in an art activity.  Following, art projects will be hung in the halls to create a Riverview Art Gallery.
