Principal Moment

No one is more cherished in the world than someone who lightens the burden of another.  We have many teachers, staff and secretaries who lighten the burdens of many.

Last week our PTA honored our teachers, staff for Teacher Appreciation Week and we also recognized Mrs. Downey and Mrs. Sullivan for Secretaries Day.

This year, more than ever, we owe our Riverview staff our thanks for their unwavering dedication and commitment to the students and families of Riverview.  They have all gone above and beyond during a year that has been riddled with change and uncertainty.  Thank You!

School Fundraiser

Riverview is proud to announce the coloring book fundraiser.

We have a limited supply of Learning Power Coloring Books created by our very own art teacher, Mrs. Sherratt.  These coloring books feature our school learner powers: Be Determined, Self-Aware, Connect, Think, Reflect, Question and Wonder.

At Riverview we are not afraid to enter the learning pit because we know that our learner power friends are there to help us climb up to success.

Coloring books are being sold for $5.00 each and are available now for purchase with cash or check in the office.

Shadow Mountain is the Nebo School District sponsored summer camp for students attending Nebo District schools who are currently in the fifth grade.

  •  The camp runs June 3 thru July 8—the first 5 sessions being for boys and the second 5 sessions for girls. There are no mixed sessions.
  •  Students spend 3 days and 2 nights in a beautiful setting nestled in the Hobble Creek Canyon.
  •  The cost for the camp is $100 which covers all costs including the camp t-shirt.
  •  Registration will take place online using the Eventbrite platform which is used extensively throughout the region.  All payments will also be processed online.
  •  Participants must show evidence of a negative Covid test within 48 hours of the desired session.  This will be verified at check-in time.  Local testing locations can be found at https://coronavirus.utah.gov/utah-covid-19-testing-locations/.
  •  More information and media is available on the webpage at shadowmountain.nebo.edu.

Registration will begin Monday, May 3 at 6 am.

Year End Testing

We are in the year end testing window.  Testing can wear teachers and students down. Do what you can to turn off testing anxiety.  Taking a page from Hogwarts School of Magic; “We shall defeat the-test-that-must-not-be-named!”

We want students to be able to demonstrate the good skills they have learned this year.  The testing window will continue through May 21st.  Your child’s teacher will keep you informed of specific class test dates.

We look forward to a very busy and productive rest of our school year.  Thank you, again, for your great support of students and staff.  We are all thrilled to be part of this big, marvelous Riverview team!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Angie Killian
