Riverview Elementary Newsletter

Principal Moment

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, some Riverview students have been writing what they are thankful for.  There’s nothing more real than asking a student a serious question to see what the response will be.

“I’m thankful for being a beautiful dancer!

“I’m thankful for my dad.”

“I am thankful for yummy cookies.”

“I’m thankful that I can climb trees.”

“I’m thankful for my family and house.”

“I’m thankful that I can do a back flip.”

History Came Alive in Fifth Grade

Submitted by angela.killian on

Fifth grade students took on the life of historical figures, quite literally, this morning.  As part of the Wax Museum project, students chose a historical figure, conducted research,  and wrote a biographical report about their chosen person. Today, students came dressed up as wax depictions of their figures.  They spoke and acted as if they were the historical person.

Support Staff Day – November 18th

Inside Riverview Elementary there’s a group of people we just couldn’t do without.

We’re celebrating some special employees this week.  Every day, support staff keep Riverview organized and bring expertise and enthusiasm to the office, classrooms, kitchen and library.  It’s Support Staff Appreciation Week, so let’s thank these caring professionals for helping Riverview students succeed.

I encourage you to have your children write a thank you or share a story about our stellar support staff who put a smile on all our faces.
