Bobby Lawrence Karate visited Riverview third graders. They taught them about the ABC's of Success! The students loved learning about goal setting and accomplishing their goals. They had the opportunity to practice some karate and show off some side kick moves they learned. Thank you Bobby Lawrence Karate!
The Riverview 4th graders had an exciting opportunity to go and see the Utah Symphony perform at Maple Mountain High School. The 4th graders enjoyed learning about different cultures through the music the Symphony performed. The students would like to thank the Utah Symphony for performing for all the 4th Graders in Nebo School District.
The third graders at Riverview enjoyed Take a Vet to School Day. The students enjoyed listening to the veterans share their experiences. They wrote thank you notes to the veterans. It was a wonderful experience to have the veterans with us. Thank you for your service!
To honor Veteran’s Day, Riverview students had the privilege to meet veterans. The veterans introduced themselves and presented a patriotic slide show. Mrs. Nelson led Riverview students in singing a patriotic song. Students brought pictures of veterans and posted them on the school walls. We appreciate the sacrifices veterans have made so we can be free.
The second graders in Mrs. Nielson & Mrs. Callister's class enjoyed participating in their annual Take a Vet to School Day, where they were able to listen to veterans share their experiences in the armed forces. The students enjoyed making special "thank you stars" to show their appreciation for their service to our country.
Prevailing Winds came and performed at Riverview Elementary. They had an amazing performance! They picked songs that everyone enjoyed. They taught us about their woodwind instruments.
The musicians were Jeannine Goeckenitz on the flute; Bonnie Schrueder on the oboe; Anita Miller on the French horn; Luke Phiel on the bassoon; and Scott Harris on the clarinet.
We all want them to come play for us again!
