Mrs. Nielson and Mrs. Callister's 2nd Grade Class took part in an Earth Day Service Project inspired by an idea from one of our students.  Kyler Carpenter took the initiative to write to the city council and the Mayor's office to see if they would designate a planter bed in the shape of Utah with flowers the color and pattern of the American Flag.  Our class jumped at the chance to put our study of plants in Science to good use.  We walked to the City Library and planted the donated flowers.  We had a wonderful afternoon with perfect weather and a lot of fun!

Riverview is happy to announce March's Stand Strong Honorees.  Each of the students did a kind act such as helping a student when they fell down, helping a student understand their assignment, being kind to friends, picking up trash, having good sportsmanship, playing with someone who needed a friend, following directions, helping a teacher, helping someone clean up, and always being happy and kind. Great job for Standing Strong!  Keep up the great work!
