Free Summer Meals

The Utah Food Bank is offering the Free Summer Meals Program again this year in four of Nebo School District communities. This year will be a drive-thru program with two meals provided on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Who: Youth up to 18 years

What: Free Healthy Lunch

Dates: Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays, June 1 - August 14

Springville Area: 1:45 to 3:00 p.m., Church of Jesus Christ Church, 55 North Main Street, Springville.
Spanish Fork Area: 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Spanish Fork City Center Library Park, 100 E. 50 S. Spanish Fork.
Payson Area: 12:45 to 2:00 p.m., Constitution Park, 600 S. Main Street, Payson.
Santaquin Area: 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Centennial Park, 300 W. 100 S., Santaquin.
                                        
No registration required. Drive-thru pick up with two days of lunches to go.

Herbert has declared May 2020 Utah Resilience Month.  Resilient Utah…focuses on 3 key areas of influence in a child’s life: SCHOOLS, HOMES and COMMUNITIES.  Resilient Utah Power of 3. By learning consistent vital messages through the powerful combination of these 3 areas, children will be more likely to increase INNER-STRENGTH and develop LASTING RESILIENCE.

On the weekend, She loves to read, paint and visit family.

If you could have lunch with any fictional character, who would it be? Albus Dumbledore

Who was your favorite teacher and why? My sixth grade teacher-he made learning a lot of fun.  He wasn’t afraid to play with us and do fun things.

If you were given a $1000 - what would you buy? Books, paint supplies and fun socks!

Who or what inspires you? My older brother, he is always working so hard helping other people.

Share a memory of school: One time we went to school and we were having a read a thon.  We were able to wear pj’s to school, it was my first time wearing them to school and it felt weird but I had so much fun reading!

What is your favorite thing to teach every year? Art

What is the best thing about your job? I love being able to inspire students and helping them to realize how special they are!
