Parent, please don't forget SEP conferences this Thursday, March 17th, from 3:00-9:00; if you have any questions, please email your teachers or call the office. We would love to see you!
Also, there is NO SCHOOL on Friday, March 18th.
Celebrating Dr. Seuss's Birthday included a special visitor from Mayor Mike Mendenhall. Mayor Mendenhall came to Mrs. Jnsen's first-grade class and read the book Horton Hears a Who! This tale of compassion and determination proves that any person, big or small, can choose to speak out for what is right.
Thank you, Mayor Mendenhall, for visiting Riverview.
Yearbooks are on sale now through March 18th! Please pay using Venmo (see the QR code or @RiverviewPTA) or pay by check at the school office; make checks out to Riverview PTA. The cost is $15.00. When ordering, please include your student's name and teacher.
Principal Moment
I spent some time in a fifth-grade class today. We were working on math problems.
No school on Monday, February 28, 2022. That day will be a planning day for our educators. This time will allow teachers and staff to get caught up on final preparations for the end of the third term and to prepare for the fourth term. Have a wonderful weekend!
This is a friendly reminder that there is no school on Monday, February 21st. Enjoy your day off!
CONGRATULATIONS to our Riverview Teacher of the Year, Angela Linford, and our Outstanding Staff Award to Crystal Cox!
Principal Moment
When I think of Valentine’s Day memories, one stands out to me.
I was in third grade. I remember how excited I was to hand out Valentine’s Day cards during my class.
I had picked out a special card for the boy who made my heart swell and filled my belly with butterflies. It was the perfect card.
I placed the card into his handmade Valentine’s Day mailbox before passing out the rest of my cards to my classmates.
