Third Grade Collections

Submitted by alyssa.mathis on

Mrs. Chambers' 3rd graders had a chance to bring in their collections to share with the class.  They read a story called Max’s Words which talks about a boy who starts a collection of words and creates stories.  The kids used the chrome books and google classroom to type an essay about their collection so their classmates could read about it.  It was a fun time learning and sharing our collections with each other.

Mrs. Cook's Class Celebrates Dot Day!

Submitted by alyssa.mathis on

Mrs. Cook's first grade class celebrated Dot Day by reading the book The Dot. First graders brainstormed about how they could Make A Mark and Make It Matter here at Riverview. The students were really focused on the word yet and how powerful that word is. We love learning about having a growth mindset!

Second Graders Honor Patriot Day

Submitted by alyssa.mathis on

In honor of Patriot Day on September 11, our Second Graders enjoyed a visit from our city's First Responders (Fire, Police & EMT). We had a great time hearing about how they help our local community and seeing all of their great tools for work. Thank you First Responders for being Real Life Heroes to us!
