Riverview third graders had a great time at their third grade track meet on Wednesday. They enjoyed participating in running, long jump, the soft ball throw, and the relay races. Great job third graders!

6th grade orchestra students at Riverview performed their end of year songs. Students enjoyed listening to the orchestra play Ode To Joy, Cannon in D, Rock This Way, and many more. The audience played a game of "Name That Tune" where they named tunes from Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Mission Impossible, and Jaws. It was a wonderful performance!

Congratulations to Tricia Nielson for being awarded Outstanding Employee for Riverview Elementary! Horace Mann presented the award to Mrs. Nielson. We are so blessed to have you at our school! Thanks for all you do!

Riverview students had a great time during the school chalk walk fundraiser. Thank you to everyone who participated! It was a blast!

Tonight is Riverview's Family Night at the book fair! 

Riverview students had an assembly to announce the March Reading Champion Challenge Winners. Congratulations to the seven winners!  Each winner received two tickets to the rodeo.  The grand prize winner received a pair of Wrangler jeans, a cowboy hat, and cowboy boots. Great reading Riverview! 

Mrs. Lopez was awarded the Crystal Apple Award! Horace Mann presents the Crystal Apple Award to a teacher each year.  The recipient is chosen by the faculty and peers.  Mrs. Lopez teaches fourth grade and loves it! One faculty member commented that Mrs. Lopez is always full of ideas and is willing to share her ideas. Another facutly member said Mrs. Lopez is easy to work with, loves her students, and loves what she does.  We are very lucky to have Mrs. Lopez here at Riverview.  Congratulations Mrs. Lopez!  Thank you for all you do at Riverview!

At Riverview we support friendship, encourage kindness, and celebrate courage.  When a child is in need of a friend or having a bad day, wait right on the buddy bench and a friend will be on the way!

Families can come “set up camp” on the grass field and on locations along the course.  Plan to bring folding chairs or a blanket or your walking shoes, depending on if you want to walk with us or watch.  No bicycles or pets.
